Christian Leemar Delos Santos, the son of the family that partly owns No Ka Oi Pest Control, was shocked when he returned home Tuesday night and police officers showed up to inform him that they and his family were looking for him.

“It’s a miscommunication,” Delos Santos, 22, told Saipan Tribune yesterday. He said that he was actually busy enrolling for his classes at the Northern Marianas College.

The pest control technician at No Ka Oi said he was at NMC during the opening of registration on Monday and he went back again to the school on Tuesday.

He said when he came home past 7pm Tuesday, several police officers knocked on his door and informed him that he had been reported missing.

Delos Santos said it’s his fault because he did not call No Ka Oi and his relatives about his whereabouts because his cell phone and the company issued radio had been stolen.

The Department of Public Safety asked for the public’s assistance on Tuesday to locate him because he was last seen Saturday afternoon.

No Kai Oi got worried when Delos Santos did not report to work on Saturday and on Monday and Tuesday. His relatives checked his apartment room in Garapan and found it locked.

Delos Santos’ mother is currently vacationing in the Philippines.
