A boy who was reported missing last Tuesday, June 1, was found unharmed yesterday and has been returned to his family.

The Department of Public Safety received a call on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at about 8:30pm about a missing child at a residence near Lower Miha in Garapan. The police report did not indicate the child’s age.

Police who were dispatched to the scene met with the mother who stated that the child got in trouble at school earlier that day. Before the child’s mother could talk to him about the incident, the boy ran away from home. He was described as wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt with a hoodie, a pair of jeans, a pair of blue Nike shoes, and a red Jansport bag. The child’s mother and neighbors went around Garapan in search of the child, to no avail, and that’s when then called for police assistance.

Yesterday, at about 9:39am, the child was found at a friend’s home in the village of China Town. He was found well and unharmed. The child is now back with his family. (PR)
