Minor changes in ROP 18 fight card

Changes were made on the fight card of Rites of Passage 18: Warpath set at 7pm this Friday at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall.

The fighters were replaced or the fight was cancelled in four of the 15 bouts scheduled this weekend.

Daniel “Flowmotion” Floor, who is supposed to fight Jones Langu of Red Ants Academy, will now duel Trench Tech’s Jeff Garcia in one of three kickboxing bouts. , Garcia was initially set to face Steve Paul.

“Shiska” Bob Alvarez is slated to meet Independent fighter John Tudela but will now take on his cousin Roman “Sonic Boom” Alvarez in a grappling exhibition match. Andrew “Shotgun” Sablan (Independent), who is scheduled to clash with Ricky “2Slick” Camp in a 135-pound bout, is now a standby fighter along with Derick Naog.

The rest of the fight cards remain the same with Miura Yasua of Sendokai Nagano challenging hometown hero Frank “The Crank” Camacho in the main event.

The Camacho-Yasua non-title bout will be preceded by the match between High Blood Pressure’s Ernie Santos against Trench Tech’s Jordan “The Machine Gun” Manglona for the flyweight belt, while Guam Muay Thai’s Eric “Gatty” Gatmen takes on another Trench Tech fighter in Ning “The Slicer” Cepeda for the lightweight crown.

Three kickboxing matches will serve as an appetizer to all fight fans with Wesley “Baby Bully” Ponio battling Kier “The Radical Kidd” Agda in the opener and will be followed by the Floor-Garcia bout.

Ryan “Snowflake” Perez of Guam Muay Thai will test Team Zalaka’s Fradley Jepen in a mixed martial arts contest, while Matthew “Mighty Mouse” Sablan clashes with Mike Muna in a grudge match.

Down2Scrap fighters Jonathan “The Outlaw” Camacho and Jadrien “Last King” Camacho will take on Tim Salas of Zalaka and Trench Tech’s A.J. “Smalls” Aldan in back-to-back matches. Mike “The Medic” Pacini of Guam Muay Thai will square off against Ko “Pak Pak” Palacios of Trench Tech, while HBP’s Frank Quidachay will meet Team Intense’s Renz “The Intense” Benghit.

Lorenzo “Fruity Pebbles” Attao of Gracie Barra is hoping to settle a score with Trench Tech’s Lucas “The Irish Zombie” Nutting in a grudge match set at 135lbs.

Kiya Killas’ Josh “Oh My Gosh” Cruz’s opponent is not yet known as he would either face Team Pwang’s Garry “The Dissa” Ray or Andrew Sablan. “Rock ‘N’ Roll” Cole Morrill has the same situation as he would either duel Zalaka’s Derick Asao or Langu.
