The Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance will again conduct a marine debris raffle draw at the 33rd Saipan International Fishing Tournament slated for this weekend, July 15 and 16. The prize is $500 in Joeten gift certificates, for one winner.

Eligible participants must find at least one piece of trash, which is man-made, found in the ocean, and collected while they are fishing in the derby. Any floating marine debris, such as plastic, qualifies. The trash will have to be turned in to the MINA booth upon docking to receive a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets are limited to one for each individual qualifying fisherman who turns in marine debris, and is open to registered participants of the fishing derby. The drawing will be held at the awards banquet, and ticket holders must be present to win.
