The Marianas High School boys varsity soccer team racked up two wins during their games in the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League held last Nov. 17 and Nov. 22 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

With their wins, the Dolphins are undefeated with a 3-0 card and lead three other varsity teams in the season.

Their latest conquest came after Saipan International School succumbed in silence, 4-0.

Brian Lubao broke through the Geckos’ defenses only a minute into the battle, with teammates Anthony Bergancia, Cody Shimizu, and Dylan Mister firing at will to speed up the defeat of the Geckos.

The Geckos couldn’t get a handle on the ball and settled for their first loss of the season, which put them at 2-1-1.

The week before, the Dolphins made mincemeat of the Saipan Southern High School junior varsity team as they shot in 22 goals to the Mantas’ 2—with each Dolphin having had the chance to score a goal or more in the game.

RasG Andon and Herman Addy scored the two goals for the Mantas.

In other results, Mount Carmel School defeated SSHS junior varsity, 4-1, and SSHS varsity blanked MHS junior varsity, 3-0.

SSHS is third in the standings with a 2-1-1 card, while MCS has a 2-0-1 record.

Along with Lubao, Bergancia, Shimizu, and Mister, Chanyang Woo, Jerald Aquino, Leland Guerrero, Andrew Sablan, and Daniell Mar Pablo make up the Dolphins’ varsity team.
