The Marianas High School’s gymnasium that sustained damage from Typhoon Soudelor in August 2015 will soon be assessed, followed by repairs.

On Monday morning, Education Commissioner Cynthia Deleon Guerrero stated that the notice to proceed with renovation work was issued to the contractor two weeks ago.

She said: “They will we be emptying the gym so they can access what they need to do. They are going to address the damage done by the typhoon and will start replacing the damage.”

The MHS gym was completed in 200. The Department of Public Works, Philippine Goods Inc., and the Efrain F. Camacho Architects and Engineers all worked together to build the $2.4-million facility.
