MGA Festpac golf fundraiser April 16

The Marianas Golf Association is inviting members and avid golfers to join the 1st Festpac Golf Tournament on April 16 on the west course of the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort. This is a fundraising tournament for the benefit of the CNMI delegation to the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam this May.

The tournament will be using a two-player, best ball format with $180 as registration fee for each pair before April 5 and $200 after April 5. The fees include use of cart, raffle ticket, and meal coupon to any of the vendors participating in the Flame Tree Festival.

The top men’s and women’s teams in the double Peoria, and in the men’s team low gross will get $300 each plus trophy. The second and third placers in each category will receive $200 and $100, plus trophies.

The Festival of Pacific Arts is set from May 22 to June 4 at the Paseo de Susana Park in Hagatna. More than 2,500 performers, artists, and other cultural practitioners are expected to arrive aside from tourists and visitors from Asia.

American Samoa, Australia, the Cook Islands, Easter Island, the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, the State of Hawaii, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis and Futuna are the Pacific Island countries and territories expected to join the festival.
