Metran joins Aqua Resort Club
Arnel “Neil” Metran is Aqua Resort Club’s new food and beverage manager.
Metran, who has been on island for 30 years, has been at his post at ARC since August this year.
“I am happy to be back in the hotel business after resting for more than a year. I miss the hotel management life because I’ve been in the business since 1982, starting with the Hyatt in the Philippines,” he said.
Since Christmas is just around the corner, Metran said that many exciting things are coming as early as September at Aqua Resort Club.
“We plan to make the months of September, October, November and December as months where people have so many things to look forward…when they come to Aqua.”
“We are proud to say that [Kevin’s The Prime Rib and Seafood Restaurant] is a league of it own on Saipan. …Aside from the dishes, we are also highlighting the hands-on service of the crew,” he added.
According to Metran, Aqua Resort Club recognizes the big Korean community on Saipan. “That’s why on Sept. 24, 2018, from 11am to 2am, we are celebrating Chuseok—a Korean Thanksgiving.”
“Everyone is welcome because, aside from traditional Korean food and delicacies that will be served, a Korean performance by Jennifer Dance will highlight the event. Local resident rates are $19 for adults and $9 for children,” he added.
October will be celebrated as a month of appreciation for Kevin’s Prime membership card holders. When they dine at Kevin’s, they will automatically get a free bottle of Robert Mondavi wine, in addition to the Prime member perk of getting a 20-percent discount.
“We are also bringing back the Halloween Pool Party…on Oct. 31 and guests will be entertained by a DJ playing dance music while they enjoy night swimming. We will also have trick-or-treating in the afternoon at the lobby for the children who would drop by,” he added.
Victoria Sorell, Aqua Resort Club ‘s marketing and public relations manager, said that Aqua is very excited to welcome Metran to the team “and we look forward to the positive changes that he will implement while still highlighting the original reasons why people love coming to Aqua.”
