Members of the Kagman High School Class of 2006 got together to repaint the high school’s student parking lot and plant flame tree saplings last Saturday.

The improvement project was made possible through the permission of KHS principal Ben Jones and buckets of paint donated by the office of Rep. Leila Staffler.

In a joint interview on Saturday with lead organizer and chair for their class reunion Ashley Reiko Pangelinan and co-chair Momoko Halstead, the two said, “We would like to continue helping our high school and we hope to lead by example for other class years to do the same.”

The two said that Jones earlier told them that other past classes have expressed interest in joining the KHS Class of 2006’s efforts, and Halstead said that for their next activity they will “really put it out there” to get more of KHS alumni involved again with their high school.

According to Pangelinan, next up for the KHS Class of 2006 might be a beach cleanup, a fundraiser, and a garage sale, as the class nears its class reunion scheduled for October.
