Meet-and-greet with Lumi today

The Committee-to-elect Illuminanda “Lumi” Reyes Bermudes for Saipan senator said yesterday that it will have the first meet-and-greet with the candidate today, April 13, 2012, at the Susupe Civic Center Basketball Pavilion, from 5pm to 7pm.
The public is invited to come and have a conversation on various important issues that matter to you as voters “and for Lumi to listen and hear your suggestions, but most importantly, your solutions.”
“This first meet-and-greet begins our journey to reclaim what government is-to reaffirm the basic democratic principle that our people is the government and that public policies must reflect the voice of the people,” said Lumi.
The committee also unanimously selected as its chair Dr. Jessica Barcinas Taylor, who graciously accepted her selection and thanked the committee.
The Committee also identified key dates for the succeeding meet-and-greet in other key population areas up until June, at which time they will schedule the rest:
May 11, Friday: San Antonio Basketball Court
June 1, Friday: Koblerville Basketball Court
June 22, Friday: Dandan Baseball Field
