MCS sets traffic, parking accommodations for Jan. 12
Memorial and funeral services for the late governor Eloy S. Inos, which are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 12, is expected to bring in a large crowd of dignitaries and the general public to pay their respects.
Anticipating the impact that this will have on parking and traffic, Mount Carmel School has worked with the Office of the Governor and the Department of Public Safety to develop parking and traffic accommodations for that day in order to ensure the safety of everyone in and around the school and Mount Carmel Cathedral. These accommodations are outlined in the map. All drivers must follow these traffic and parking accommodations.
Note that DPS officers will assist the school throughout that day to enforce these accommodations. Also, note that instead of the usual 7:30am to 3pm schedule, the school day will run from 8am to 2pm on Tuesday, Jan. 12. This adjusted schedule will alleviate traffic congestion by avoiding time conflicts between memorial/funeral services and the school schedule.
“We trust that these accommodations will help keep all of us safe on what will surely be a sad but busy day. Should you have any questions about these accommodations, feel free to contact us at the school,” said MCS principal Galvin Deleon Guerrero. (MCS)
