The Mount Carmel School is ready to start selling tickets to its annual alumni dinner, to be held at the Pacific Islands Club Saipan this June 21, 2019.

The tickets can be obtained from any alumni or at the business office of the MCS campus in Susupe, according to MCS Alumni Association chair Norisa Camacho.

The event, which also serves as a fundraiser, also functions as a mini-reunion for the alumni batches, said association adviser John Blanco.

“We started this [dinner] on the 60th anniversary of the school,” Blanco said. “The whole idea is to bring all of the AlumKnights [MCS alumni] together,” he noted.

The renovation of the stage in the MCS field would likely be one of the projects that will be funded by the money raised. The stage was destroyed when Super Typhoon Yutu hit the CNMI in late October 2018.

“We are looking forward to seeing all of our alumni together to celebrate and give back to the school if they want,” he added.

Tickets will cost $50 each and may be obtained by contacting any of the MCS Alumni Association officers: Camacho, vice chair Yvonne Pangelinan, secretary Taylor Ada, or treasurer Cathy Sablan.

Even though the event is geared toward MCS alumni, Blanco noted that the event is open to the public and that even students who stayed at MCS at any point of their education on Saipan is invited.

Some other events that would be held during the dinner would be awarding the MCS AlumKnight of the Year; MCS Class of the Year; Legacy Teacher of the Year, the Millennium Falcon Award; Teacher and Staff of the Year, and Parent of the Year.

For those interested in securing tickets in advance, you may call the MCS business office at 235-1251 or 235-1201.
