More than 200 runners joined the 6th Annual McFun 5K Run hosted by the Rotary Club of Saipan last Saturday.
The race started and ended at the Chamolinian Utt in Garapan with a turnaround point along Beach Road across the Star Water Company. Kosuke Sato led the 260 finishers after completing the course in 17:33. In the women’s division, the top finisher was Noriko Jim, who clocked in at 20:06. Sato and Jim were also the champions in the 40 to 49 age group.
In the other divisions, the winners were the following: Ken Song and Tiana Cabrera (U19); John Paul Pangelinan and Patricia Cortez (20 to 29); Juluis Mabutas and Kaori Marushima (30 to 39); Jun Hasimoto and Wendi Herring (50 and above); and Dino Peralta and Marcia Schultz (60 and above). The winners received medals.
Sponsored by McDonald’s Saipan and the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, last weekend’s event was a fundraising activity with proceeds going to support the community projects of the Rotary Club of Saipan.
McDonald’s and the Rotary Club of Saipan would like to thank the runners and the event’s sponsors for supporting this year’s fundraiser. (PR)
