McDonald’s offers $5,000 prize for TOC

McDonald’s of Saipan announced offered a cash award of $5,000 as a hole-in-one prize at the 24th Annual Tournament of Champions that took place over the weekend at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.

“We are extremely happy to support the Governor’s Tournament of Champions, which supports projects enhancing tourist areas in the CNMI,” said Joe Ayuyu Jr., area supervisor of McDonald’s of Saipan. “We are proud to be part of this year’s tournament again with our company’s hole-in-one prize contribution.”

Ben Babauta, tournament director, said that McDonald’s $5,000 hole-in-one contribution helps “us build even more excitement and anticipation for this year’s tournament. We are grateful for the company’s support.”

The 24th Governor’s Tournament of Champions took place last Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10, and 11, at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort’s east and west courses.  Hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes were at stake in the two-day tournament, including hole-in-one prizes that also include a 2019 Nissan Frontier donated by Joeten Motors, a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Sport and a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross donated by Triple J Motors, a 2020 Toyota Corolla donated by Atkins Kroll, a 2019 Buick Encore donated by Guam Auto Spot, $5,000 donated by Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, and McDonalds, and a year of free golf sponsored by Laolao Bay Golf & Resort. There will also thousands of dollars’ worth in other prizes that include mobile devices, gift certificates, and more.

Platinum sponsors for the tournament included T Galleria, Triple J Motors, Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Marianas Visitor’s Authority, and Chivas Regal.

Gold sponsors included Chong’s Corp., Blue Stone Management, Hyatt Regency Saipan, RNV Construction, Joeten Motors, Bridge Capital (CNMI) LLC, TanHoldings, Nike, and Saipan Computer Services. (PR)
