May is Women’s Health Month

Share

In celebration of May as Women’s Health Month, the Office of Women’s Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services wants women to take charge their health.

Examination, laboratory tests, immunizations and counseling varies at every age. Creating awareness to meet these needs that will result in prevention and health management is vital to this year’s campaign.

The campaign will conclude with the Balloon Fun Run, Walk and Roll on May 27, from 6am to 10am at the Filcom Pavilion at Civic Center. The event includes 5K run, walk and roll, batting, soccer and baseball demonstration stations. There will be raffles and prizes. Blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will also be available.
