Matson donates $500 to Rotary Club

Matson Foundation Co. donated $500 to the Rotary Club of Saipan yesterday at the Hyatt Regency Saipan during the club’s regular meeting.
Matson representatives, including former senator Ray Yumul’s wife, Marites, and another employee, were guests of Rotary director Marcia Ayuyu.
Ayuyu, who is also the owner and operator of the two McDonald’s Restaurant on Saipan, said it was at a meeting with Matson general manager Bernie Valencia when Valencia asked her what she did for the community.
“I explained what I did in the community and that I was a member of the Rotary and we do a lot of things for the community” she said.
Ayuyu said Valencia then called her back and told her that Matson would donate at least $500 for now and that they will try to find a way to help the Rotary Club in their ongoing projects such as the Kagman Family Park and the Rota Dental Clinic.
Ayuyu said the Rotary will use the $500 for the Kagman Family Park.
