Matansa crushes Orange Rangers

Evan Belcher was too much too handle for the Orange Rangers, as the Matansa striker drilled nine goals in the one-sided match. Six other Matansa players scored in its demolition of the Orange Rangers with Johan Pohl adding two and Jonathan Capayas, Davy Laxa, Jherico Tiamzon, JC Piring, and Albert Bergancia chipping in one each.
Andruw Omelau scored the lone goal for Orange Rangers, putting his team on the board midway in the final half.
In the co-ed U12, the Lil Rascals edged Sisig United, 6-4.
Mark Esalan towed the Lil Rascals to victory with his hat-trick. He nailed two of his three goals in the first half to power the Lil Rascals to a 4-1 halftime lead. Joseph Rasa and Katherine Magat contributed one goal apiece for the Lil Rascals in the opening 20 minutes of the match, while Eun Syu Hahn tallied the only goal for Sisig United in the first half.
Sisig United then picked up its scoring in the second half, drawing two goals from Rintaro Miyawaki and one more from Hahn, but Katrina Costales and Esalan fired one each for the Lil Rascals to keep the lead and the win.
In the girls U15, Lady Blues and Matansa Sparks bagged contrasting wins.
Lady Blues played in the first game in its division and nosed out Girly Flowers & Rainbows, 2-1.
Diana Maniacop and De Jana Muna registered one goal apiece for Lady Blues in the first half, while Chloe Salvosa logged the only goal for Girly Flowers & Rainbows also in the first 20 minutes of the game.
In the second girls U15 tiff of the weekend, Matansa cruised to an 8-3 victory over the Orange Rangers.
Matansa set up the easy win after recording a 5-1 advantage at the break. Angelica Sally led Matansa’s strong start, scoring all of the team’s five goals in the opening frame. She added one more in the second half, while Bernadette Horey and Pinyarat Shankweiller added one each.
Princess Alcantara had a brace for the Orange Rangers, while Christine Noble gained the other goal for the losing squad.
