Marpac surprised the CNMI’s New Year baby Tian You Xu and his mother with a visit and donation of essential baby items. Marpac gave the newborn and his family Huggies diapers and baby wipes, a Mead Johnson bag, Enfamil formula, Kotex, and a Go Green bag.

“Giving back to the community is one of Marpac’s objectives,” said consumer manager Thomas Basa. “One of those goals is providing gifts to the first baby born every new year.”

The company began these New Year baby gifts in 2012, he said, and added that this year’s gifts amounts over a hundred dollars in savings to the newborn and her family.

Marpac’s Shirley Santos, Bradley Babauta, and Lino Aichi joined Basa in the visit.

Tian You Xu is the first baby born in the CNMI in 2015. Weighting 8 lbs, Xu was born at 1:02am. OB/GYN physician Dr. Helen Taro and two labor and delivery nurses, Anabel Mocon and Jennifer Demapan, helped deliver the baby.
