Marianas Pacific Distributors donated 300 care packages to the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force last Sept. 25, as part of Anheuser-Busch’s #OneTeam movement, which works to show support for front-line workers facing the daily challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each care package includes face masks, hand sanitizers, water bottles, One Team T-shirts, hats, and flashlights, among other items.

“I want to thank [Marpac] resident manager Guy Pudney for contributing and donating over 300 gift bags to all of our first responders,” said Gov. Ralph DLG Torres. “Thank you for your continued support and appreciating all the hard work of our first responders. To the people of our Commonwealth, let’s continue to fight COVID-19 and not each other. Let’s continue to make the CNMI safe.”

Warren Villagomez, chairman of the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force, also thanked Marpac for the donation of front-liner gift bags. “These gift bags will reach every single first responder that is out there taking on the task of responding to COVID-19 risks, as well as other hazardous activities happening in the CNMI. These bags will be distributed to the first responders [on] Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. We are extremely grateful for the donation and we thank all of the business community, especially businesses like Marpac, that continue to reach out to our first responders who are fully committed to serving, whether it be at the airport, seaport, as well as responding to every call here in the CNMI.”

Pudney himself said, “On behalf of our owners and Anheuser-Busch, we at Marpac would like to thank all the first responders and front-line health workers on the COVID- 19 Task Force for their wholehearted and tireless approach to keeping the CNMI safe. This pandemic may have changed the way we live but it has not changed the way we will unite and fight against this virus as a team, One-Team. We will continue to do our part and we invite others in the community to do theirs to help keep everyone safe. I raise a glass to all our heroes in the hospitals, medical centers, and on the frontlines and say, ‘thank you!’” (PR)
