Marpac Distributors was able to donate $4,000 to Karidat from proceeds raised at the recent Augie T Comedy Show.

The comedy show happened on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. About 250 people came out for a wonderful night of laughter and donated to a great cause

Karidat is a non-profit organization that operates under the Archdiocese of Chalan Kanoa and was originally a project of bishop emeritus Thomas Camacho. Aside from its social services operations, Karidat also runs the Guma Esperanza, which is a shelter for abused women and children.

Marpac Distributors branch manager Guy Pudney said, “As one of the best-selling beers on Saipan, Bud Light is associated with high quality, integrity, and social responsibility. We are happy to donate all of the proceeds made from the comedy show to Karidat and we will continue to assist with worthy causes on our island and throughout Micronesia.”

The show’s sponsors included IT&E, Best Sunshine International-CSR, Marianas Variety, Bridge Capital, Sorensen Media Group Saipan-Power 99, Marianas Visitors Authority and the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.

Marpac Distributors is a family-owned business. (PR)
