Marine band to perform at LibDay Festival
The renowned Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band from Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii is coming to Saipan to join the rest of the CNMI in celebrating the 2018 Liberation Day.
The band is composed of experienced 57 musicians who come from different parts of he United States. The band members are combat trained Marine musicians and serve with Marine Corps Forces Pacific to provide security and support throughout the Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility. They travel throughout the Pacific and conducts 400 performances every year. Their music serves to enhance the lives of military and civilian community through their talent and music. Their attendance at this year’s Liberation Day celebration shows their dedication and preparedness to be called upon when needed.
Performance dates on Saipan are as follows:
– July 3, 2018, 6pm at the American Memorial Park amphitheater featuring their Jazz Combo and Brass Band;
– July 4, 2018, 3pm at the 2018 Liberation Day Parade featuring the entire band;
– July 5, 2018, at the American Memorial Park, Visitor Center starting at 2pm, featuring its Jazz Combo and Brass Band.
The Liberation Day Festival itself will be held at the Garapan Fishing Base from June 29 to July 4, 2018.
