The Northern Marianas Trades Institute in Lower Base was burglarized Tuesday night and several tools worth thousands of dollars were stolen.

A staff at Marianas Trades Institute discovered the burglary yesterday morning, Saipan Tribune learned.

A detective disclosed that the staff noticed that several tools and equipment were missing. No other details were given.

The Department of Public Safety placed the matter under further investigation. DPS has yet to release information about the burglary to the media.
