A Marianas-theme flight departing from and returning to Incheon International Airport on Oct. 25, 2020, has sold out on its first day of sale in South Korea, emphasizing the market’s renewed interest in travel.

In cooperation with Hana Tour, the Marianas Visitors Authority organized “The Luxury Hotel” on an Asiana Airlines A380 aircraft, which will immerse passengers in a Marianas-themed experience during the two-hour-and-20-minute flight.

“This sightseeing flight product is the first of its kind in Korea, and we are excited about the enthusiastic response of consumers in buying out the flight on the first say of sales,” said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “This flight taps into consumers’ eagerness to travel and will create a sense of excitement tied to the Marianas. We have the opportunity to plant the seed for travel to the Marianas in the future by also sharing with them the positive Marianas response to COVID-19 and everything our beautiful islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota have to offer.”

The flight’s limited 160 seats were booked on a first-come, first-served basis on the Hana Tour website. The flight will emphasize the Marianas theme with in-flight meals, amenity kits, Asiana Airlines discount coupons, promotional information on the Marianas, and mileage points. (MVA)
