Pacific Islands Club Saipan in San Antonio may not be ready to take room reservations yet, but three restaurants—The Galley, Seaside Grill, and Sunday brunch at The Magellan are now open and locals in the know are not dilly-dallying in enjoying at least one, two, or all the restaurants every week to satisfy their appetite.
Lunch at The Galley is an example of everything that is most wonderful about local food—tasty, affordable, and it comes in big portions, perfect for working people. Open from Monday to Friday, 11am-2pm, The Galley is the new lunch Mecca for people on the go.
“If you work around San Antonio, Susupe, or Garapan, then getting lunch at The Galley is the perfect choice. Whether you come by to dine-in or to pick it up, The Galley’s “gourmet-style” lunch menu prepared by longtime Saipan chef William Retardo will definitely appeal to your taste buds,” said Sales and Marketing manager Katy Hung.

“For light lunch eaters, we have soups, appetizers, salad, pizza, and sandwiches. For noodle and pasta lovers we have Japanese and Korean ramen, spaghetti Bolognese, and carbonara. Our main entrees include beef bulgogi, Japanese home-style curry, crispy fried chicken, and our signature burger called the South Best Burger Set. The South Best Burger is highly recommended—it’s big, the meat is tender and juicy, and the set comes with French fries and iced tea. It is originally $14 but applying the local rate, you can get your burger fix for only $11,” Hung added.
Plans to make picking up food convenient for customers is underway. One idea is to allot an area in the lobby to pick-up food, similar to a drive-thru.
Quality and quantity are the rules when it comes to happy hour at the Seaside Grill Sunset. Loved by locals who get a table to catch up with family and friends while viewing the perfect sunset, Seaside Grill offers a variety of drinks and food to accompany you to see the day end.
“Seaside Grill Sunset is somewhere you want go after a long day because people treat this as their relax and unwind place. Since we opened in August, people have been coming tirelessly from Thursday to Saturday to enjoy happy hour, 5pm-7 pm,” Hung said.
“…And because of its popularity, we have extended happy hour starting from 5pm to 9pm. If they want to stay and have dinner they can and if they want to transfer inside the restaurant, that is welcome too,” Hund added.

A wide array of international and local dishes is one of the reasons to have Sunday Brunch at The Magellan. Aside from treating your taste buds to different flavors, the restaurant is family friendly because it is spacious and brunch is reasonably priced.
“The Magellan Restaurant is the biggest outlet at PIC as we can accommodate 400 people with no problem. But with COVID-19 regulations, we cut capacity into half… our buffet system also changed to maintain safety and health protocols. Food will be served by servers behind the food stations or counters to the guests and in between them is a transparent wall to maintain social distancing… our brunch includes unlimited champagne,” said Hung.
“Since we opened last month, Sunday Brunch is always packed that is why we recommend making reservations… With local discount, the Sunday Family Brunch is only $30 for adults and $15 for child,” Hung added.
