Manta Ray cleans up Koblerville

As part of its community service, the Manta Ray Battalion fanned out to clean up several areas of Koblerville on March 18, 2017.
In all, a total of 112 cadets participated, one of the highest number of participants, including the Manta Ray Battalion commander, command sergeant major, and executive officer, along with their senior Army instructor, CSM (ret.) Richard Basa and Bernie Basa.
The battalion was divided into three groups: one starting from Tottotville led by cadet Maj. Ezekiel Rafanan, another starting at PakPak Beach led by cadet Capt. Collins Flores, and one in the Saipan Southern High School campus led by cadet Capt. Emmanuel Aquino.
Cadet Lt. Col. Matthew Kapileo, the Manta Ray Battalion commander, monitored the progress of the cadets and ensured that they were safe throughout the cleanup Cadet CSM June Alipio brought water and trash bags to the groups. Two groups swept through Koblerville, meeting in the middle in front of P&A Laundry, while the other cleared the SSHS campus.
