MANGO sets next series of trainings for NMI non-profits

The Marianas Alliance of Non-Governmental Organizations Inc., in partnership with the Office of Minority Health Resource Center, announces another series of weeklong local capacity building training and invite as many duly licensed and registered non-government / non-profit organizations on Rota, Tinian, and Saipan to register and attend. The training will be held at Pacific Islands Club Saipan. Seats are limited to 40 slots and are for non-profits only!

– Aug. 4: Financial management

– Aug. 5: Program evaluation – Day 1

– Aug. 6: Program evaluation – Day 2

– Aug. 7: Individual non-profits consultations

– Aug. 8: Individual non-profits consultations

These training series will offer expert instruction with practical exercises to take you step by step through all of the stages of financial management and program evaluation.

One to two slots are reserved for each NGO that register by the deadline of Aug. 1. Email the name of the NGO and representing individual(s) to MANGO past-president and training point of contact Maria C. Pangelinan at ilang59@gmail.com and mangononprofits@gmail.com, and she will forward you an official registration form to fill in and email back to confirm your registration slot.

MANGO is also inviting all non-profit organizations in the CNMI to register as members of MANGO, the umbrella organization for all NMI-based NGOs. Email your organization’s official name, valid mailing address, official point of contact(s), email addresses, officers’ names, and phone and fax contacts to mangononprofits@gmail.com.

MANGO was chartered and licensed by the CNMI Corporate Registrar in December 2010 and is the umbrella association for all NGOs in the CNMI and is an associate member of the regional Pacific Coalition. The founding and/or coordinating members include Maria Cepeda Pangelinan, Polly Omechelang, Maisie Bermudes Tenorio, Frances Manibusan Sablan, Jesse J. Torres, Al Cabael, Joann Aquino, Lydia D. Igitol, John DLR. Gonzales (“Bolis”), Rhea Chong, George Cruz, Rose Castro, Florine M. Hofschneider. New members are always welcome. (MANGO)
