Managaha Island and the Grotto remain closed until further notice, as part of efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the Marianas.

In a reminder yesterday from the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force, it said the two sites, which are popular with both tourists and residents alike, remain closed to the public pursuant to Directive 14 of the CNMI COVID-19 Emergency Directives of 2020.

All other public beaches and pathways are open for individual use of exercise and wellness, including swimming and shoreline fishing.

The Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. encourage residents to continue good hygiene, practice social distancing, avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people, and avoid unnecessary travel to help prevent the spread of this deadly illness.

For additional information on the COVID-19 response in the CNMI, visit the CNMI Office of the Governor’s official website at www.governor.gov.mp or follow @GovernorCNMI on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. (PR)
