Man pleads not guilty to knife attack
A man involved in a knife attack pleaded not guilty last Monday to charges made against him.
Mickey Ray Gogue Deleon Guerrero, 21, pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (domestic violence) and disturbing the peace (domestic violence) during an arraignment last Monday at the Superior Court.
Deleon Guerrero was arrested following an incident on Oct. 2018 where he allegedly attacked another person with a knife.
According to court information, Deleon Guerrero allegedly attacked a household member by swinging a knife at him with the intent of striking him.
In a previous article on the Saipan Tribune, Deleon Guerrero was charged with theft and possession of methamphetamine or “ice” back in 2016 and has been out on bail.
Deleon Guerrero allegedly admitted to stealing a car and smoking “ice” and owning drug paraphernalia.
Deleon Guerrero also allegedly admitted to stealing the vehicle with another person, and recklessly driving it to elude arrest. The descriptions of the car were not indicated in the report.
Police officer Adrian Mendiola, who stopped the car, immediately recognized the driver as it wasn’t the suspect’s first involvement in a theft of vehicle. (Kimberly A. Bautista)
