Man involved in assault pleads not guilty

A man accused of domestic violence pleaded not guilty Monday in Superior Court.

At his arraignment, Berman Higgins, 20, pleaded not guilty to assault and battery- domestic violence before Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert Naraja.

Naraja ordered Higgins to return to court on June 25, 2019, for a status conference.

According to court documents, Higgins was not arrested but issued a penal summons for the alleged offense back in May 1, 2019.

Court information states that Higgins hit a household member on the head and face back in December 2018.
