The man involved in the vehicle accident along As Terlaje Hill last Friday came out of the accident unscathed, but still faces charges for allegedly driving under the influence.

According to DPS spokesperson Dre Pangelinan yesterday, the driver of the vehicle had been released from the Commonwealth Health Center with no injuries sustained.

“Driver at NMC was not harmed, was uninjured but we did call medics to make sure,” he said.

In a video clip sent to Saipan Tribune that recorded the accident last Friday, the vehicle, what seemed to be a sedan, was speeding up As Terlaje Hill at around midnight before losing control—driving off the road and falling into a nearby ditch and turning turtle—near the accident-prone intersection near the Northern Marianas College.

According to Saipan Tribune archives, the total number of people who have died in crashes at this specific intersection is three.
