Man arrested for violating TRO
Police arrested a man who, despite a temporary restraining order prohibiting him from having any contact with his former girlfriend, went to her house in Koblerville and asked for a share of their son’s food stamp on Tuesday morning.
Sheldon U. Remoket, 28, was taken to Superior Court yesterday for allegedly violating Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo’s order of protection.
Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $1,000 cash bail and set the preliminary hearing for Feb. 11 at 9am.
Police detective Vincent A. Igisaiar stated in his report that the Department of Public Safety Central received a call about a contempt of court incident at a residence in Koblerville on Tuesday.
When a police officer arrived at the residence at 9:03am, the alleged victim told the officer that she has a TRO issued by Govendo against Remoket.
The victim alleged that Remoket arrived at her home and inquired about his share of their son’s food stamp. She refused to surrender the food stamp and told him to leave.
She then asked Remoket about their son’s child support, which the court ordered him to pay. Instead of giving her money, Remoket gave her food stamp but she refused it. She told him to leave and when he left, she called the police for assistance.
A responding police officer later spotted Remoket who was inside a car parked outside Kang Da Market near the Nutrition Assistance Program Office. Police arrested him.
In August 2012, police arrested Remoket, who was allegedly one of two persons who broke into a storage room of a house in San Antonio and stole an amplifier, chrome steering wheel, and a bag.
In August 2008, Remoket and two other men were arrested in connection with 13 cases of burglary and theft cases on Capital Hill, in As Gonno, Papago, and Kagman.
In November 2006, Remoket was arrested after he allegedly beat up a co-suspect in a theft case.
