Man arrested for criminal mischief at Tasi Homes

On Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, at about 4:04pm, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a criminal mischief complaint in Susupe. Police were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival at around 4:18pm, police met with the caller at the scene. The caller led police to a vehicle that had its front windshield damaged by an unknown object. Police were shown the surveillance footage from the night prior, which showed a male individual throwing an object toward the vehicle. Upon reviewing the footage, police immediately recognized the suspect as Lucas Manglona from prior incidents. At about 4:40pm, police located the suspect near the area and arrested him at about 4:44pm. He was brought to Kanoa Resort for clearance before being transported to the Department of Corrections to be booked and processed.

On Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020, Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio issued a rule 5 warrant for Manglona with a bail set at $3,000, where he awaits arraignment. (PR)
