Man arrested for beating up wife
A man allegedly beat up his common-law wife at their home in Chalan Kanoa, scaring their three children and prompting them to seek the help of their aunt on Sunday night.
Francisco Rabauliman Ilo, 37, was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace.
At a hearing yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge Theresa Kim-Tenorio imposed a $300 cash bail for Ilo’s temporary release.
Preliminary hearing will be on Jan. 13, 2015 at 1:30pm.
Police detective Dee Liza Udui stated in her report that when police officers responded to the scene, they saw the alleged victim and her two daughters crying. The victim’s sister appeared to be upset and was breathing hard.
Udui said that, according to the alleged victim, she, Ilo and their three minor children had just come from a family party on Capital Hill on Sunday when Ilo got mad at her and repeatedly slapped her. This prompted their two daughters to run to their aunt’s house west of their residence.
The alleged victim took their minor son and they both ran to her sister’s house, where her two daughters had already fled.
Ilo followed and slapped her again. The victim’s sister told him to stop, but he shouted at her telling her it’s none of her business. Ilo only stopped slapping her when her sister called the police.
Police arrived and arrested Ilo.
