A 25-year-old man allegedly pushed his wife and kicked her face when she fell on the floor during their struggle for possession of a tablet that reportedly contains evidence of his illicit relationship. The alleged incident happened at their home in Garapan on Jan. 17.

Danilo Guzarem, 25, was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace.

At a hearing last week, Guzarem’s cash bail was lowered from $5,000 to $1,250.

Police detective Daniel T. Joab stated in his report that the wife had gone to the Palms Garden Apartment in Chinatown last Jan. 17 at about 12:30am to meet with Guzarem and get their son’s tablet from him.

Joab said the wife suspected her husband of having an affair and wanted to check the tablet. He refused to give it to her and pushed her. When she fell on the floor, Guzarem allegedly kicked her face, then ran to the third floor of the apartment.

The wife said Guzarem went to the third floor to delete items from the tablet or reformat it. He then gave the tablet to her and left.

Guzarem is an information technology network specialist.

The wife told police it was not the first time her husband treated her that way. She said she almost blacked out when he stomped on her face.
