A 28-year-old man allegedly broke into the 670 Rock Steady Shop in Gualo Rai by breaking the glass window with a hammer early Wednesday morning and stealing jewelry, clothes, and other items worth $4,026.

Police said that Moses Leeroy Rangamar admitted to the burglary. He was arrested for burglary and theft. Police recovered some of the stolen items. His bail was set at $11,000 cash; preliminary hearing is on Jan. 25 at 9am.

According to shop’s owner, still more items are missing.

Chief Public Defender Douglas Hartig was appointed as counsel for Rangamar. Assistant attorney general Heather Barcinas appeared for the government.

A police officer responded on Wednesday at 4:59am to a burglary and theft incident at 670 Rock Steady Shop on Chalan Pale Arnold in Gualo Rai.

The shop’s owner told the officer that among the stolen items were assorted G-Shock and Hello Kitty wrist watches, assorted jewelry, wallets, 670 Rock Steady clothes, and a cash box.

Two other police officers, who also responded to the scene, made a routine check at U-Luck Poker II north of 670 Rock Steady and noticed a silver Ford Fusion 4-door sedan whose window was open. In the back seat were 670 Rock Steady jersey wrapped in plastic packages and Geo Star wristwatch boxes.

Rangamar approached and stated he owns the car.

The 670 Rock Steady Shop owner was later escorted to U-Luck Poker parking lot where he identified all the items in the car to be their stolen property.

Rangamar was then arrested. Allegedly, he later admitted to the burglary.
