Major Mangkhut relief donors
The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter has mobilized its volunteers and provided thousands of relief items to those in need on Rota, Saipan and Tinian in the wake of Typhoon Mangkhut.
Relieving suffering after a major storm is only made possible through the extraordinary gifts of time, money, and resources.
The Joeten Daidai Foundation has given a gift of $20,000 and DFS has donated $10,000 to help those most vulnerable and in need of assistance following the storm.
“These funds make it possible for us to provide aid to those most impacted,” said J.D. Tenorio, Red Cross district manager for Typhoon Mangkhut. “Without financial contributions, we can’t provide blankets, flashlights, tarps, water and other critically needed relief supplies.”
In addition, Mobil Oil Marianas donated $10,000 worth of fuel vouchers as well as drinking water and rice that will be distributed on Rota over the next few weeks. The fuel vouchers, water and rice will help cover expenses that will allow families to use their savings to buy other essential items for their families.
