Majesty Restaurant set to distribute free meals Sunday
Majesty Restaurant with support from private donors will be doing a free Christmas meal distribution again this Sunday, Dec. 20, from 4pm to 5pm until supplies last. No registration required.
“We encourage jobless, low income, hungry, or homeless to visit Majesty Restaurant this Sunday at 4pm,” said the restaurant’s management
The same grab-and-go system implemented for its Thanksgiving distribution last month where 172 meals were distributed will be used for this Sunday’s Christmas meal distribution.
While Majesty Restaurant doesn’t have an exact number of the total Christmas meals they plan to distribute, they will be preparing for 150 meals.
“The holiday season is a magical time of love and joy for many of us. However, we must not forget that there are still those who are suffering due to the social and economic conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” added management,
For four months now, Majesty Restaurant has been serving hot meals and relief bags every Sunday morning as part of its Full Belly, Full Hearts 1,000 Meals Initiative with support from Micronesian Brokers Inc. and Marianas Medical Center.
Since Labor Day weekend, 800 meals and relief bags have been distributed by Majesty Restaurant with help from private donors.
“Our goal is to help the unemployed, reduced hours, low-income, homeless people impacted by COVID-19. We saw firsthand the severe and painful financial impact on the tourism and restaurant industry,” said Majesty Restaurant’s management.
