Main water pipe on road going up NMC ruptures

Share

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in Chalan Laulau are experiencing a temporary water service interruption resulting from a ruptured 16-inch water main under Chalan Monsignor Guerrero—the road going up to the Northern Marianas College in As Terlaje.

CUC water personnel discovered the line break when water began to seep out of the pavement along the innermost eastbound lane just below NMC. Both of the eastbound lanes are currently closed to traffic as crews excavate the site. Motorists are asked to avoid the area by using alternate routes, if possible.

CUC does not have an estimate for the restoration of water service to the affected area; however, crews will remain at the site until the repairs have been completed. For more information, contact the CUC Customer Call Center (664-4282) or monitor CUC’s Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporation/). (CUC)
