Magazine checks out resort life on Saipan
Dress magazine, a lifestyle magazine targeting Japanese women in their 30s and 40s, has sent two of its readers to Saipan to report on the full resort experience of nature, golf, yoga, gourmet dining, and an upscale hotel stay.
From Nov. 25 to 28, the readers indulged in the luxuries of the island for a five-page story to be featured in the magazine’s Dec. 27, 2014, issue. Dress magazine circulates to 100,000 readers, targeting women who are interested in lifestyle trends.
“The MVA was pleased to support the Dress magazine FAM tour with ground transportation and arrangements for permits and photography,” said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “The Northern Mariana Islands are an excellent destination for relaxation and rejuvenation, and we anticipate the Dress magazine article will share the experience with their readers in full and luxurious color.”
While on Saipan, Kazuko Kawabe and Sachiko Kurihara indulged in a full afternoon on the white sands of Managaha, a half round of golf at Laolao Bay Golf Resort, an adventure tour of Forbidden Island, and the island-themed I Sagua Spa and luxury rooms of their accommodating hotel, Hyatt Regency Saipan. A wide variety of cuisine was enjoyed at the Oleai Beach Bar & Grill, with the sweeping vistas of The Grill at Laolao Bay Golf Resort, at the Wild West-themed Country House Restaurant, the refined Coffee Room N-106 Café, beneath the stars aboard the Stars & Stripes catamaran, in the bright and open-aired Kili Terrace, at quick and sweet-tasting Winchell’s, and at the island-themed Herman’s Bakery. The pair also took in shopping options at Joeten Shopping Center. (MVA)
