Mafia headed for SEDA Masters crown

The 6JMS Mafia seemed headed to clinch the Masters Division title in last week’s results in the 2017 Saipan Electronic Darts Association Bud Light League held in various bars on the island.

Mafia enjoys an 18-win lead over the Oleai Nakayoshi in the division’s four-team field. The 6JMS-sponsored squad holds a 210-113 card, while the Nakayoshi has a 182-141 slate with five weeks left in the division’s schedule.

The 6JMS Pythons could assure itself of third place with a 151-172 record with the Chow Time Calamity Fun (103-220) completing the standings.

The Mafia’s current record was built around a 16-1 thrashing of Calamity Fun with Gilbert Gatmaitan, Omar Quindoza, Erwin Clavecillas, and Noel Unay conspiring for the one-sided win.

The Calamity Fun’s Roy Tereyama, SEDA league secretary Warlee Ellama, Greg Sasamoto, and Adrian Montalbo could not match the Mafia’s intensity in that humbling loss. Ellama scored the lone win for Calamity Fun when he defeated Quindoza in one of the four Singles Regular Cricket matches.
The Oleai Nakayoshi completed an 11-6 decision against the 6JMS Pythons in the other scheduled match.
