The Saipan M2 Fitness’ second anniversary and fundraising event turned out to be a resounding success with hundreds of health and Zumba enthusiasts coming out in support.
The Saipan World Resort Taga Hall was packed from wall to wall with hundreds of men and women who either wanted to participate in M2 Fitness’ night-long Zumba Craze party, support the M2 Fitness inaugural fundraising event, or those who just wanted to catch a glimpse of Pinoy celebrities Wowie De Guzman and Joshua Zamora who made a special appearance last Saturday night.
Either way, the event was a resounding success as it did not only spread awareness of the importance of getting fit and staying healthy to all those in participation, but it also raised money for a good cause with the event completely selling out.
Proceeds will benefit the NMI Museum and the TSL Foundation.
Throughout the night, M2 Fitness teams and fitness coaches took turns leading the crowd in intense Zumba choreography to get everyone’s blood pumping, and their sweat dripping, leading up to the main event, Pinoy stars De Guzman and Zamora.
The crowd even got a special performance from M2 Fitness president Mary-Grace Bautista and M2 Fitness co-founder Mishael “Mita” Pelicano.
At around 7:40pm, Zamora was the first of the two celebrity Zumba instructors to take the stage. Upon stepping into the spotlight, the crowd of over 100 went into a frenzy and even forgot the main reason they were there which was to participate in the Zumba choreography.
The hundreds of men and women inched closer and closer to the stage which led Department of Public Safety officers on standby to step in and control the crowd as it began to get wild.
Following Zamora was 1990s TV star De Guzman who, again, made the crowd go wild. However, after a few moments, the crowd finally started to settle and turned into a massive dance party as they followed De Guzman’s simple, yet energy intensive Zumba choreography.
Meanwhile, M2 Fitness also named their three grand prize raffle ticket winners during a brief intermission leading up to the main event.
The Top 4 winners were Tess Marquez, first; Ladyvir Canape, second; and Jovalyn Santos, third.
The other raffle winners were not announced but will be contacted by the organization.
In addition, M2 Fitness also officially launched its website during the event to help those who want to get fit, conveniently browse through the many programs and classes M2 Fitness currently offers.
