Luta hosts 3rd Coconut Festival

ROTA—The 3rd Luta Coconut Festival kicked off yesterday with a lineup of activities and competitions that includes a Battle of the Band and Lip Sync Competition.

Vendors began offering their wares for sale starting yesterday at 6pm at the Joaquin M. Ogo “Tun Kindu’” Baseball Field, where many of the festival’s activities will take place.

Registration forms for the Battle of the Band and Lip Sync Competition are available at the Rota Mayor’s Office and Department of Commerce Office. There will be cash prizes.

The Coconut Festival started two years ago, featuring games and competitions such as fashion shows, making of the hut, coconut husking, and many more.
