To mark the Lunar New Year, the Marianas Visitors Authority and community partners will hold an evening Lunar New Year Party on Feb. 5, 2019.

The evening will include live entertainment and food sales from 6pm to 10pm at Paseo de Marianas pedestrian mall in downtown Garapan.

Entertainment will include performances by the Chinese community, Korean community, the Chamorro community, and other groups.

“Lunar New Year is a high travel period for our visitors from Asia, and we want to make their holiday in the Marianas memorable and festive,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “We are pleased to join our tourism partners in bringing this celebration back this year.”

The pedestrian mall will be decorated with traditional Korea and Chinese lamps. The event is co-organized by the Chinese Association, the Korean Community of Saipan, and the MVA.
