With all Saipan high schools having begun half-day sessions, the Latte Training Academy has partnered with the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, the Pacific Islands Club, and the Marianas Business Plaza to continue to offer the Skills, Tasks And Results Training, or START, to students who registered at for the fall 2015 Hotel & Hospitality Certification course through PSS.

Classes for Marianas High School will be held at Room 604 of the Marianas Business Plaza, while classes for Saipan Southern High School will be held at the upper level of the Seaside Grill at the Pacific Islands Club. Classes for Kagman High School students will be held at the Junior Golf School at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort. These arrangements will be temporary until power is restored at their respective school sites at which time courses will be taught onsite.

“We are extremely grateful to our industry partners who have stepped up to ensure that these students are still able to participate in the program without disruption. It speaks volume to the commitment that our partners have [for] the betterment of the CNMI’s tourism workforce,” said Island Training Solution’s Jim Arenovski.

The success of the program over the last school year led PSS to allow students to earn two elective credits through their participation. Students and parents are encouraged to register at the schools or online at www.lattetraininacademy.com. Space is limited to 25 students and priority is given to juniors and seniors. This year, the Latte Training Academy will be offering $10,000 in college scholarships to students who complete the START course in the current school year. Students will only be eligible to apply for these funds upon successful completion of the program.

To registers, parents and students can call (670) 287-7087 or visit www.lattetrainningacademy.com. (LTA)
