Matansa and MP United Blue players fight for possession during the second half of their game in the boys U15 division of the NMIFA spring youth league last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field. (Roselyn B. Monroyo) Routs were the theme in Week 6 of the boys U15 division in the 2012 NMIFA Youth Spring League.

MP United Silver recorded the most one-sided victory last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field after crushing Shirley’s FC, 13-0. The win was the sixth in as many games for MP United Silver, while Shirley’s absorbed its fifth win after six matches.

Despite the absence of coach Norman del Rosario, MP United’s offense ran smoothly with Jehn Joyner leading the attack, drilling nine goals. He made the first three goals for MP United Silver and had one more before the first half ended with his team way ahead, 6-0. Dakota Hall and Ryota Ito logged the two other goals for MP United Silver in the opening 45 minutes of the game.

In the second half, Ryan Kim started things out for MP United Silver before Johner toyed with defense of Shirley’s FC anew and drained three straight goals. Brian Lee also scored in the second half, while Joyner capped his awesome game with another goal in the closing minutes.

Paire 8, Tan Holdings 1

Paire also showed no mercy against Tan Holdings to gain its fifth win in six games.

Six different players from Paire made it to the scoreboard. Joel Fruit had a pair, while John Auther, Gideon Borja, Scott Kim, Billy Hinson, and Hunter Jewell added one apiece.

Tan Holding’s FC’s lone goal came from Christopher Aninzo, who found the back of the net in the first half where Paire led, 4-1. Tan Holdings dropped to a 1-1-4 slate.

Matansa 5, MP United Blue 1

In the first game at the Oleai pitch last week, Matansa downed MP United Blue.

Sean Perez led the victory, drilling four goals. Carlson Cruzat scored the other goal for Matansa, which improved to 4-1-1 record.

Perez broke the ice early with his goal in the sixth minute, while Cruzat had his lone goal 15 minutes later. Perez then earned his second goal in the 29th minute to give Matansa a 3-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, Perez was still unstoppable, as he nailed his third goal in the 48th goal and the fourth 10 minutes later.

MP United Blue’s only goal came in the second half, courtesy of Amir Abes (63rd minute).

BOYS U18

MP United 2, Paire 1

In the first game in the boys U18, MP United edged Paire to remain undefeated in six games.

Chris Park drew first blood for MP United with his goal in the 20th minute before Paire’s Zhi Lin tied the game at the break with a goal in the 37th minute.

Both teams struggled early in the second half before Seoung Joon Lee broke the deadlock with a goal in the 69th minute and MP United hung in there for the win.

Paire fell to a 3-0-3 slate.

Tan Holdings FC 8, Matansa 0

In the other U18 match, Tan Holdings clobbered Matansa.
