Looking for long-lost friends
I was a pilot for Island Air (Pacific Island Airways) back in 1979 and I would like to get back in touch with some of those that worked there back then. There is not much to find on Google or other search engines and maybe you can shed some light on my search.
At that time, it was based in Guam, at the Agana International Airport, and we flew three Cessna 402 aircraft. It was owned by Capt. Brandenberg. The chief pilot was Greg Nickerson and another pilot was Brown. On Rota the station agent was Rosie, on Tinian it was Maria, and on Saipan it was Alvin.
During my year as a pilot there all the people were so nice to me and were hard workers. Over the years I lost my address book and have not been able to make contact with anyone. I realize there have been a lot of changes in the years gone by and hopefully all those at Island Air were able to be a part of those changes.
I have since retired from the airlines and fly corporate airplanes.
The internet has a lot of Air Mike and South Pacific Island Airlines but nothing regarding the FAA Part 135 airline “Island Air.” If you have a link or know anyone that can help me make contact, I would appreciate it. I have some pictures from back then that may help identify some of my old friends if you need them.
