The LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort is opening its new driving range tomorrow with a longest drive and chipping contests scheduled from 4pm to 9pm.

The competition will have both the male and female categories. Entrance fee is set at $10 per player. Organizers are hoping for at least 50 participants.

The first placer in each category receives 15 coupons that each warrants a free round of golf, which is over $600 in value. Second placers will be awarded 10 coupons and third placer receive five. Participants have five chances to post their longest drive and five chances to place their chip shots closest to the pin.

Men and women will compete against one another in the chipping contest and the Top 3 will each win a brand new wedge from LaoLao’s pro shop.

In addition, male participants can also win a free golf coupon if they manage to rest their drives 200 yards or more on the fairway. Females must safely land their drives 180 yards or farther. The ball must land within the fair territory and only one coupon may be awarded per player.

Food and drinks will also be on sale at happy hour prices throughout the event. Registration starts at 4pm and competition begins right away.

The elimination round takes place from 4pm to 7pm and the Top 5 finishers in each category advance to the 8pm finals.
