Lohas Massage has launched a promotion this holiday season where their 60- and 90-minute massages come with free LED mask treatment.

Manager Eun Joo Park said the LED mask treatment usually costs around $10 per session, but Lohas Massage is making it complimentary as a way of thanking customers this Christmas.

“We will provide a free LED light mask trial for all customers who reserve a massage appointment at our shop in December,” she said.

LED masks are being promoted as a means to reduce fine lines by stimulating collagen production and combat acne through their antibacterial benefits. The varying wavelengths of light that the LED mask emits reportedly treats different skin concerns. For instance, amber light helps stimulate collagen and firms the skin’s elastin. Red light, meanwhile, reduces inflammation and promotes blood circulation, while blue light kills acne-causing bacteria.

Like other businesses on island, Park said Lohas Massage was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in March. In fact, operations were already on a downhill trend even before that, with the decrease in tourists from the CNMI’s main markets of China and South Korea.

She said before the coronavirus hit the CNMI, Lohas Massage’s clientele was made up of 70% tourists and only 30% locals. Now, the massage establishment caters exclusively to local customers, hence the introduction of promotions like the free LED mask treatment when they reopened last Nov. 7.

Lohas Massage also offers one of the lowest rates for 60- and 90-minute massages on island: a 1-hour massage is only $20 and the 1 ½-hour massage is just $30.

It has three expert masseuses with over 10 years’ experience and has 10 double-bed rooms and one family room that can accommodate four clients. Their three most popular massages are hot stone massage, coconut oil massage, and acupressure massage.

Park said Lohas Massage is in total compliance with the safety measures being enforced by the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force. Aside from directional arrows, frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing of staff, practice of social distancing, and wearing of face masks, Lohas Massage also has an air purifier and disinfectant machine to sanitize their premises.

Established in 2014, Lohas Massage is located on the second floor of the Winchell’s Donut building in Susupe across Kanoa Resort. It is open Monday-Sunday from 11am to 10pm and for more information or to set an appointment, call 235-8000 or 483-4807.
