Lizama, Nakamura top batting charts

Coming into Saturday’s matches, Lieto has accrued 14 hits in 21 at bats for a Senior League-best of 0.667 batting average.

Completing the Top 10 are Rep. Antonio Sablan-Eliceo D. Cabrera-Hunters’ Steven Cabrera, Docomo Pacific Ol’Aces’ AJ Lizama, Juan Santiago-Jets II’s Jeffrey Lizama, Aces’ TJ Sablan, IT&E Fielders’ Khobby Kaipat, Hunters’ Jesus Mafnas, Marianas Cable Vision-Rep. Ramon S. Basa-Frederick P. DL Guerrero-Kagman Lions’ Paul Celis, D-9ers’ Jeremy Atalig, and DPS Dare Program Enforcers’ Vince Cabrera .

There are a number of good hitters among the eight-team field as three others are swinging over 0.450 and another seven lingering above 0.400. Statistics were based on at least 18 at bats.

The Ol’Aces’ Jun Rabauliman is the current RBI leader with a dozen, while Steven Cabrera (11), Fielders’ Davin Ada (10) and Sablan (10) remain close in the rear view.

The Jets II’s Shane Deleon Guerrero and Hunters’ Joseph Borja are tied in the home run race at three apiece with Jared Lizama and Fielders’ Ian Rogolifoi still in pursuit with two each.

AJ Lizama’s six triples top the category, in front of Rabuliman (4), Vince Cabrera (4), Fielders’ James Aldan (3), Hunters’ Jonathan Cabrera (3) and the Ol’Aces’ Frankie Camacho (3).

Steven Cabrera, Saipan Shipping Company-Jets I’s Tristan Javier and Jets II’s Jonathan Villagomez share the lead in doubles with four apiece with seven others lurking with three.

Hunters’ Jerome Reyes has crossed the plate a league-high 17 times with Steven Cabrera and AJ Lizama right there at 16 and four others at 15.

AJ Lizama (4-0) is pacing the field in pitching with seven earned runs through 19 innings (six games) off 17 hits. He leads Fielders’ Keoini Kaipat (13ER/22IP/17H/2-1/5G/4.14ERA) and Lions’ Davie Matagolai (29ER/21.1IP/39H/1-3/6G/9.52ERA); statistics were based on at least 19 innings.

AJ Lizama’s 31 strikeouts also fronts Keoni Kaipat (27) and Matagolai (23).

Big league’s Nakamura has 14 hits in 27 at bats for a 0.519 hitting rate and is the only player with at least 19 at bats swing above 0.500.

Behind him are IT&E-Fielders’ Patrick Tenorio (15-32/0.469), Sen. Ralph DLG Torres-Rep. Ramon S. Basa-Frederick P. DL Guerrero-Kagman Lions’ Leroy Regis (13-28/0.464), Hustlers’ Jeremy Lizama (13-28/0.464), Fielders’ Carl Camacho (12-26/0.462), Hustlers’ Brian Camacho (15-33/0.455) and MacGarette Duenas (10-22/0.455), Aces’ Keoni Lizama (13-29/0.448) and Hustlers-duo Manny Flores (16-36/0.444), and Kevin Villagomez (12-29/0.414). The Ol’Aces’ bubble-boy Diego Camacho (14-34/0.412) is the only other player swinging over 0.400 with five others above 0.350.

Nakamura’s 12 RBIs tops the field over teammate Keoni Lizama and Hustlers-duo Kevin Villagomez and Flores.

Keoni Lizama’s three home runs remain atop the list, ahead of teammate Leonard Sablan and seven others with one, while Brian Camacho, Carl Camacho, Hustlers’ McJarrel Espina, Duenas and Tenorio share the lead in triples with three apiece and lead a dozen others by one.

Nakamura and Diego Camacho both have five doubles thus far with Lions’ Richard (4) and Ricardo Dela Cruz (3), Flores (3) and Brian Camacho (3) also in the picture.

Diego Camacho still leads in runs scored with 14 ahead of Aces’ Lamarc Iguel (13), Jeremy Lizama (13), Flores (12), Brian Camacho (12), Duenas (12) and Keoni Lizama (11).

Brian Camacho (2-0) is having an impressive first year on the Big League mound with 10 earned runs through 29 innings (8 games) off 24 hits for a league-low ERA of 2.41.

Fielders’ Nathan Guerrero (16ER/25.1IP/38H/2-3/5G/4.42ERA) and Regis (28ER/36.2IP/40H/0-6/9G/5.35ERA) represent the other two hurlers with at least 24 innings of work. Brian Camacho’s 46 strikeouts pace Regis (37) and Guerrero (32) as well.
