Little Legals players lead individual stats

Based on individual statistics, batting and pitching are helping the Kagman Little Legals keep their record clean in the Majors division of the 2018 Saipan Little League Baseball.

The Robert Torres-sponsored squad holds a 5-0 mark, just one game behind leaders Falcons, who are also unbeaten.

Cardi Borja and G-Boy Pangelinan, based on the individual statistics as of April 2, are the Top 2 in batting with the former having a .643 average, followed by the latter’s .625.

The Cubs’ Albert Adriano is at third (.600) with the McDonald’s pair of J.J. Reyes and Joel Deleon Guerrero coming in at fourth and fifth with .579 and .529, respectively.

The Falcons’ Chris Pangelinan, the Pirates’ Destiny Pangelinan, and the Natibu Sports Association Braves’ Jylon Sablan are tied at .500 each. Noah Aguon of the Falcons (.474), Jesus Tyquinco of Bank of Saipan (.455), and Gunner Sablan of the Little Legals (.444) complete the batting leaders.

Angelo Igitol is the current runs scored leader with 15, followed by the 12 of the Falcons’ Aguon, while Pangelinan, Joey Sharry, and Achilles Evangelista are tied with 10 apiece. Deleon Guerrero, Leandre Sablan, Andre Iguel, and J.J. Reyes have nine each.

Pangelinan and Deleon Guerrero have five doubles each, Michael Tomokane has four, while nine players—Igitol, Gunner Sablan, Josh Atalig, Joell Borja, Jon Diaz, Al Adriano, Dane Hodges, Greg Tebitt, and Demarlane Santos—are bunched up with two apiece.

Borja and Jesse Stole have three and two triples each, while 12—Hodges, Pangelinan, Reyes, Deleon Guerrero, Aguon, Gunner Sablan, Fabio Norita, Reed Camacho, Benji Palacios, Max Church, Terrel Rabago, and Sammy Pangelinan—have one each.

Charlie McDonald, G-Boy Pangelinan, Aguon, and Deandrey Cruz have one home run each, while Tomokane is leading the RBI department with nine, followed by eight each of Chris Pangelinan, G-Boy Pangelinan, and Gunner Sablan. Jylon Sablan, Cardi Borja, and Leandre Sablan have seven apiece.

Gunner Sablan has a 0.00 ERA to lead the pitching list, while he has recorded 35 strikeouts to place second behind Jylon Sablan (43). G-Boy Pangelinan, Gunner’s teammate, has a 1.00 ERA to rank second.
